Nicholas Rhodes is a contemporary guitarist in his third and final year at Mohawk College. Picking up a guitar at a young age, Nicholas quickly developed a passion and desire to perform, especially in a traditional jazz style music. Throughout his 3 years at Mohawk, Nicholas has played in countless gigs as a freelance musician and through Mohawk College. Nicholas mostly performs in a trio, but also plays in quartets and big bands. His experience performing at events includes weddings, award ceremonies, banquets, and convocations to name a few. More recently, Nicholas was one of 8 students chosen from Humber, York, UofT and Mohawk to perform in the Toronto jazz festival student band on the OLG stage in Toronto this past summer and he performed at the Brantford Jazz Fest the past September 15.
